Altus Resource Capital Limited (LSE:ARCL) (the "Company") is a Guernsey registered, closed-ended investment company which is listed on the Specialist Fund Market of the London Stock Exchange and on the Channel Islands Stock Exchange.
Announcement of changes to Investment Manager
The Company is pleased to announce that Altus Capital Limited ("Altus Capital"), a wholly owned subsidiary of Altus Strategies Limited, received authorisation from the Financial Services Authority ("FSA") effective on 3 June 2010. Altus Capital has, from the 30 June 2010, in accordance with the arrangements put in place at the time of the IPO, replaced Altus Asset Management Limited as the Investment Manager of the Company, although the key personnel will remain unchanged. The Company's investment management agreement with Altus Asset Management Limited has been novated in favour of Altus Capital. Investment Objectives and Policy
The Company's objective is to realise capital growth from a concentrated portfolio of junior resource equities and to generate a significant capital return to shareholders.
The Company invests in companies engaged in the exploration, development and/or mining of metals and minerals with a focus on companies that operate in the gold sector. Portfolio companies will be predominantly, but not exclusively, listed or quoted on either UK markets or other recognised stock exchanges including the Canadian and Australian markets and typically will be capitalised at less than £100 million at the time of investment.
